I hate digging for things with one hand while I'm fishing while the other holds the pole/a fish/the line. The lanyard clips onto your clothing. These are small and compact and definitely don't weight enough that it's annoying to have on your clothes. These fold up so fits in your tackle box easily when you're done fishing at the end of the day. The color makes them easy to find! They are sharp and cut the line well...much better (and a bit less disgusting) than using my teeth. :) I've used these a few times and so far, no sign of rust or corrosion!
