The SurfacePro X only has two USB-C ports besides it’s Surface Connect port and this works out substantially cheaper than the official Surface Dock and seemed like a good idea. So far I've tried out using the SD and MicroSD card readers, the USB ports and charging the tablet via the USB-C PD port, and those features work pretty well. The 3.5mm headphone/audio jack does not seem to work for me, the tablet doesn't detect any kind of additional audio device and no sound output comes from that connector to my speakers. I've not yet tried using the HDMI port, but I suspect that it will work.
