How much mix comes with it

I don't remember the exact weight of it, but the bottle itself is fairly small. A little smaller than palm size maybe? You mix it with water and dish soap and it makes quite a bit each time. However I think we got only 5 or 6 uses out of it. I'd definitely recommend buying the refills if you are going to use it frequently. The product itself is loads of fun and great entertainment. Some of the bubbles are massive!! This one works a lot better than some others we tried.

Bubbles pop before they get very big what are we doing wrong

Dear Teri, Let's assume you used Joy, Dawn, or Fairy in hot water, and measured your ingredients. Then your trouble is most likely the weather. Especially the humidity. Try again---Go to weather.com and choose a cool, not windy day, with humidity 75% or higher. Ideal conditions are 40 degrees temperature, 3 miles per hour breeze, and 98% humidity. You'll get bubbles on most days (unless you live in a desert), but you'll get biggest of all in good bubble weather! Also, there's no need for the kids to get slimey. How much solution is needed per batch?

It depends on how fast you bubble. I suggest making just one gallon as a test. Later you might want to make 5 gallons in a five-gallon container. Many people do. Best regards, David Stein, inventor of the Bubble Thing
