    Resistor requires a lot of work to install and is very poor quality

Installed resistor blower heat sink 4/2018, required a lot of work to mount on the heat sink like the original. Blower motor quit running  today 6/16/2020  Car is not used every day and only has 3115 more miles sin install!!  China made piece of JUNK! Its a shame the original MFG quit making the resistor attached to the heat sink.  Frustrated!!Tip If you install one of these run blower on high speed only. It might last longer.  It dose not get as hot on high speed.

    Defective Part don't waste your money

The male pins on the gang plug are smaller than the original so they fit the female sockets of the body harness way too loose. We had to cut our old harness off and splice it to the new part. Once installed it did not work properly so the heater fan would not work on high speed, the longer it ran the hotter the blower control got to the point of melting plastic creating smoke.Don't waste your time on this part.

Some modifying to the heat sink required---grind off tab on heat sink base---drill new holes for mounting of this product to original heat sink---Grommet for wiring is made of hard plastic, not rubber, so it will not fit into hole of original grommet for weather protection, have to cut slice in it to make it fit---to plug it in you must cut the tabs off of the center of the factory harness with a razor blade---and good luck with the so called directions sheet. This was installed on a 2000 Mercedes Benz SL 500---One week later customer was back with an inop blower motor---This part went bad that fast. Amazon was quick to send us another one, but if it goes out, we're never using these again.
