I was having a no start issue after pressure washing my engine bay. Did a whole bunch of research and came across a guy on a boat forum that was having the same issue. So I did some diagnostic testing myself...I put a paper clip in the sensor harness between the 5v supply and the sensor return to the PCM. The boat started!, but...ran like crap, but it started, which was great. The problem was the PCM wasn't seeing any manifold vacuum...so the injectors weren't spraying fuel into the engine. Installed this sensor and it fired right up and is running perfectly. My Engine is a 5.0GXi Volvo Penta. This MAP sensor is the exact same as the 4.3/ 5.0/ 5.7L MAP sensors on the VP engines at a fraction of the price. I highly recommend this sensor. I was having a crank no start issue that when I pumped the gas when trying to start the engine would fire and run but die when put back to idle. This resolved it perfectly.
