I would definitely like this in my hand if I needed to defend against another weapon. That is, as long as it's not a prolonged, bloody fight, because although the grip feels pretty good, once wet I think it would get slippery. I tried it with wet hands, and because of the textured finish, water doesn't make it slippery, sweat probably won't, but blood probably will.
