**Q: Will this work with Vonage?**
A: No.  Vonage ships this unit to their customers with custom firmware on it.

**Q: I have a skype account and telephone number, will this support calls in and out with the old analog phones?**
A: I don't know if Skype offers a VOIP service.  This device is a supported device for Vonage VOIP service connecting to an analog phone.  I've only used Skype on a computer with a camera and microphone.

**Q: Does this require a wired connection to the network or does it support a wireless connection too?**
A: No wireless support, you need a physical ethernet cable.

**Q: Can i power this from a 12v dc battery by running a cable directly from a usb port that the battery powers to the micro-usb socket on this device?**
A: You could use a car-type 12v to 5v usb adapter. Not 12v directly.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Einwandfrei für Sipgate

Nach über 10 Jahre erfolgreicher Verwendung des Grandstreams HT-286, war es an der Zeit das alte Modell für ein neueres auszutauschen. Das HT-802 ist zwar etwas größer, jedoch immer noch sehr leicht. Der Stromadapter ist nun mit einem MicroUsb-Anschluss versehen. Die Konfiguration ist dem alten Modellen sehr ähnlich, daher lief diese bei mir sehr zügig. Die Konfigurationsanleitung, die man nach Einloggen bei meinem SIP-Provider Sipgate unter "Geräte verbinden" findet, sind die Konfigurationsseiten wegen der unterschiedlichen Firmware zwar anders, aber die wichtigen Daten sind deutlich rot hervorgehoben, so dass die Dateneingabe etwas umständlicher, aber absolut machbar ist. Da alles den alten Modellen sehr ähnlich ist, und ich mich mit diesen auch gut auskannte, ging alles ratzfatz. Des weiteren konnte ich erkennen, dass sich in der Firmware seit dem HT286 einiges verändert hat. Nun geht unter anderem der Zugriff auf das Webinterface auch per HTTPS, und ein SSH Zugriff kann auch verwendet werden. Alles im allem bin ich sehr zufrieden!!!
