Why am i getting such slow speeds with m1 mac mini 2020? only about 200mb/second read speed.

When you test the drive speeds are the results MB/s or mb/s? Big or little MB? Megabyte per second is MB/s Megabit per second is mb/s or Mbps 1 MegaByte = 8 Megabit 200MB/s is 1600Mbps (MegaBIT per second) or 1.6Gbps (GigaBIT per second) = no problem 200mb/s is 25MB/s (MegaBYTE per second) or 0.2Gbps (GigaBIT per second) = problem

Is there a thunderbolt version available?

This one is Thunderbolt 4. I noticed the difference when using it on my iPad Pro and on my PC. Make sure you get the fast M.2 SSD.

What is the noise level of the fan?

I have had this for several years and have never heard the fan make any noise. Very well made too. I use it to clone my internal SSD. For safety, I keep it unplugged.

What size is the fan in the unit in mm?

The fan is around 30mm. The mounting screws are 35mm across.
