The colors were consistent and there were no defective beads in the mixture. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ THIS is the color I was looking for! *by B***0 on August 15, 2012* I fell in love with perler beads when I saw them used to make video game character sprites. So awesome! The very nature of perler beads lends itself to making cool-looking 8-bit doodads. I bought myself the gargantuan bucket, which was fine. But there wasn't a color bead in there that was the right skintone for the Mario/Zelda things I wanted to make. I had to either choose a color (peach?) that made them look sunburned or (tan?) hispanic. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I wanted better accuracy, something that matched the colors of the game. I was running low on the tan beads so I ordered this, SAND colored beads, thinking it was the color I had been using. NO! The Sand beads that I ordered came today, and lo and behold THIS was the skintone color I had been looking for to make my video game characters with. YAY!!!! It's a color somewhere in-between tan and peach, perfect for my needs (see attached pic).
