JETech Case for iPad Air 2 (2nd Generation), Smart Cover Auto Wake/Sleep (Black)

I’ve always been a fan of using protective covers for expensive tech products. While the Apple iPads have a degree of “built-in” durability, they are still subject to damage with everyday use. I purchased a similar cover for my first Apple iPad (Gen 4) and was glad that I did so. Personal experience and knowledge of what can occur made for an easy decision when I got my second iPad (an Air 2). The JETech case (for iPad Air 2) has, so far, been performing as expected. The screen cover puts the Air 2 to “sleep” when closed and “wakes” it up when opened. It seems (feels) like it is durably made and my iPad fits snuggly but is easily removed if necessary. It adds very little dimensional size or weight to the sleekness of the Air 2. The sleekness and reduced weight of the Air 2 are a bit of a detriment as the polished metal skin and light weight allow the tablet to slip or slide easily on most surfaces and increase the chances for being dropped. The JETech case reduces this possibility AND provides a level of protection if a “drop” does occur! Double bonus 👍. The only detractor that I might have is that the matte finish of the case does allow for some smudging and fingerprinting from skin oil. It is easily remedied with any basic tech product cleaner but thought that I’d mention it. The JETech cases are very reasonably priced and shipping was prompt. With product registration, you get a Lifetime Warranty but I’m hoping that I won’t need to request it. My experience with the JETech case for my Air2 has been excellent and makes it easy to recommend this product to others looking to protect their expensive Apple iPad!

Good shape for price

Considering how much I spent on my ipad, I would have been happy spending much more for a case but this one fits my needs perfectly. I had an old Ipad that was pretty heavy. As soon as I opened my Air I was struck by how light it was in comparison. Other cases I tried nearly doubled the weight and defeated the purpose of the air. So the first advantage of this case is that it's about the lightest one out there. I did the comparisons before ordering. Another reason that I love this case is because of the way it folds. I've never read anyone mention this but most of the time I''m holding my Air in portrait position in my left hand and tapping with my right. If you fold the cover into its triangular shape it forms a kind of handle on the left that is very comfortable for me to grab onto. Covers designed for many positions will not fold this way. I also noted that this Air has much better volume and sound than my old one. I like the fact that this case leaves the speaker opening completely exposed. There is no plastic grill over it that might cause a buzz or rattle at certain frequencies. I should note that my Air is handled only by me and there are no young children to worry about. Will it offer much protection if it falls? Probably not but I'm always aware that my devices generally cost as much as my flat screen tv and I've never dropped any of my tablets or phones. So if your Air is going to work with you or be in a challenging environment where getting banged about is likely, you might look for a case that has some buffer. However, when you look at the prices of some of those cases, you might instead consider getting a warranty from one of those outfits that will contact you after you buy your Air in a store. I got that offer today and figured with discount a 2 yr warranty would cost about $90. Balance that against a $60 case and do a risk/reward analysis. I'm thinking that if this cover gets scuffed up or scratched and becomes an eyesore, I'll have to dig down and come up with $9, the cost of two slices of pizza and a coke.

It fit my iPad Air 2 but is two piece, not the 3 layer soft leather like wrap around I was expecting.

Very good Ipad case, looks good snug fit

I got it like 1 month ago and it is great, it fits perfectly and it does the job plus the material is good.
