What's the difference besides the price between the S380cps and the R355cps, both are for metals ?

The R355CPS is a multi material machine and is not meant to cut metal 100% of the time. the S380CPS is designed specifically to cut metal all of the time.

Any idea about how many cuts of 2" square tubing with .083" walls before the blade becomes unusable? I'm looking to do at least 40 cuts.

I'm sure it will do way more than 40 on .083. I have done at least 50 cuts with 10 of them on .250 wall 3" square tube. However it does not like aluminum. Plugged up the blade on 2 cuts of 2" angle .250 thick

Can this saw use A blade to cut only metal?

Yes. Evolution makes blades that only cut steel. The 14bladest 66 tooth 14” blade. And aluminum as well.
