PowerVision PowerEgg X Wizard Waterproof Drone with SyncVoice Technology, 4K60FPS Camera, 6km Transmission Range, Vision Obstacle Avoidance, Landing Protection, and Precision Landing

I saw the PowerEgg X release during the CES this year. And it was pretty impressive with all the different features.I was a little bit hesitant because of some of the reviews but I bought the drone anyways. Overall it was awesome, tried out a few times, and worked as expected.The first time I tried the DV mode and had to do the FW update. It somehow didn't complete the first time although it said it was completed in the app. I re-started the drone and the app, then the second time it updated successfully. The video quality was not so great on the phone screen, but after I exported this to the computer it seems fine.The face following mode was pretty impressive. My girlfriend and I have tried a few times and it can follow the face correctly. One drawback is if it loses the face, it will need some more time to re-capture the face.One thing I am interested to try is the anti-vibration of the camera. I usually shoot some v-log videos with my phone but it does not have great quality while walking. I hope PowerEgg X would be a better tool for the video quality.Today I finally have a chance to try out the drone mode of PowerEgg X. The arms were easy to install, and felt like good quality arms. I took off the drone near my house without any problems. Flew for about 15-20 mins and landed successfully.The battery is almost out but enough for landing safely. The video transmission on phone screen had some lag from time to time. I did notice a warning message saying too many wifi interference. I guess this makes sense since I am flying around the living area.The whole flight was pretty stable, but I didn't try to fly too far or too high since I don't want to lose the drone in a neighborhood area. Will try more in some wide space later when this virus thing is gone.Personally I like the product, from my initial testing, it is doing what it promised. Hope there will be a place I can buy accessories for the drone. I might be able to try out the water take-off/landing in the coming summer.

Update, after a week of back and forth with their tech support, I received no help at all so I am returning the drone. I am pretty bummed because I really wanted this to work.I purchased this drone for the sole reason that it is water resistant and I wanted something I could fly in the rain and snow. It was a day late, not that big of a deal, and when I got it all together and tried to connect it to my phone, it would not connect saying there was a Firmware Update. I go to update and I get a "Network Error" so it will not download the update. I tried two different phones, two different Wi-Fi networks, and even just cellular data but it will not go through. I have reached out to the tech support email and after three emails and a phone call, I finally got a response. They said they would review my issue but that I can ignore the update and just fly the drone. Nope, I cannot just ignore the update because without it, I cannot connect to the drone. Super frustrated at this point and am thinking about just returning the drone. I wish there were more water/weather proof drones on the market in this price range but there aren't.

This Drone was made to be versatile, and it really really is. I mean on the tripod it can be a 4k camera tech that keeps you centered & focused as you move around. Then it does all the drone stuff over land & water.. The PowerEgg X is awesome. There's always room for improvement, but as is I do love this drone.The area where I see more to be desired, is in services AFTER you're an owner... There's so much that they could do better or do at all.Parts for instance. Want just a leg or 2, new from HQ? Not gonna happen. Have to find a private party with a wreck or have to buy a whole reconditioned drone. Accessories? Just the wizard items, & for example, if you wanted just the water proofing plastic bubble, if I recall right, it's North of $300!! If they want to be different from the other drone companies, continual accessory line development, & reasonable prices for their loyal customers to better enjoy a PowerVision drone would be a great way... I have tons of ideas that would make great options when first ordering the drone, or great add-ons for years down the road.. Parts & accessories even long after a Zzß see eßËparticular model is no longer in production, if done right would be appreciated by more owners than just myself.. But no drone companies are doing this now, so it's no reason to not get a PowerEgg-X. It's just you should know that end of the deal before instead of finding out after..

charged up both batteries and first battery we did the updates and everything was just fine, flew great... next day we had some light rain and was perfect to try out the water shell... even did a recalibration with the shell on and flew for about 30 seconds normally before full throttling upward and to the right... drone had no control at this point and i watched it helplessly as it smashed into a tree and hit the ground destroying the eggwishing i had listened to the poor reviews i read before giving it the benefit of the doubt, this thing is nothing but a headache... 3 years of updates and it is complete headache

The drone looks great, but the app simply doesn't work on any device, and without it, the drone is essentially useless. I tried reaching out to support, but it was impossible to get help. Don't waste your time buying this brand, as it clearly doesn't function as expected
