### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional value and fits well on a large head, comfy and cool.

*by T***3 on May 30, 2011*

I have a large dome and have trouble finding helmets and hats that fit properly. I've worn auto-racing and motorcycle helmets for years (I used to sell them as well) and know the product and how it's supposed to fit. My large and longish knob is hard to fit but the unique suspension in this helmet makes it fit right away. A turn of the adjusting wheel and all is comfy and snug as it should be. I've experience no "hot spots", which usually feel like someone drove a spike into my forehead, and no other discomfort. The helmet runs quite cool and I experienced no overheating or other discomfort.I've never understood the wild and just plain silly shapes of most helmets; most look to me like expensive substitutes for a tinfoil hat to repel "the voices" and most seem to offer very little in the way of protection for the occipital region of the skull. This may be a question of perspective, but this helmet feels more like a helmet than some kind of colored beany sitting perched on the top of my head.Buy one; it's a good product.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Shell slips back and forth

*by M***R on September 15, 2014*

The first problem was sizing. Though I always wear a medium in hats and other helmets, the medium was far too big on me. I don't have a particularly tiny head, but even the small could be a bit tighter.Secondly, the glue that holds the shell and the rest of the helmet together has completely stopped working, and the shell will often slip away from the interior of the padded helmet, which it uncomfortable and dangerous.Given all that, the helmet fits fine now, and is actually really comfortable (just a bit roomy on the sides). Though the shell slide around, the buckles are fastened to it as opposed to the interior, so while its buckled and I'm biking it can't slide off entirely. Not the highest craftsmanship, but its comfortable, does not soak up much water when it rains which is great, and the style is very trendy these days if you're into that. All around, I would go with the equivalent Bern model. I borrowed one from a friend, and you can tell right away the difference in manufacturing. Its more expensive, but when dealing with the safety of your head, you can't spend enough!

### ⭐⭐ cover the graphics but its still chunky

*by B***Y on July 3, 2013*

I already had a helmet -- a Bell Lumen -- when i purchased this one, but I wanted a more "urban" style helmet -- something that provided more coverage of my grape, in particular the occipitale bone.I got this giro for less than $20 bucks because of the color -- green with cyan creatures. as such, it is a "good deal" if you don't care how you look. I'm trying to find some tasteful stickers to put on the helmet to hide the awful artwork. The fit is not great -- its like having half a watermelon chunked onto your dome piece, and even after tightening the wheel lock in the back and properly adjusting the straps there is still some play. I noticed a red mark on my forehead after wearing the helmet for some time.overall i think it is an ok helmet and it def provides more surface area protection than my Bell, but its kind of heavy and chunky and the fit is awkward, so for those looking for a multi sport helmet in this style i recommend something else.
