After installation, my TDS were reduced to 12ppm. Installation was pretty easy for me. I had a faucet from years past, and had drilled the hole thru the stainless sink with a special bit. The instructions are easy to follow and straight forward. My only issue was getting power to the sink area. Tapped into my dishwasher power line to provide power to fizzlife unit. Total installation time was about 2 hrs. There is a slight hum when using this unit, but barely heard from under the sink cabinet area. The water has a fantastic taste after running thru the Tam 3 ph mineralizer filter! Its a pleasure to drink slightly alkaline water, and much healthier with added minerals. Water output from the faucet is decent, not slow and not really fast but somewhere in the middle range. Its a good looking faucet and well made, not cheap. When the RO system starts to work, pressure from the pump overcomes natural osmotic pressure, forcing feed water through the RO membrane that removes the impurities. When the RO system stops working, the pump stops offering pressure as well. At that time, because of different concentrations, a small fraction of ions will enter into pure water and cause TDS to rise by a small amount. However, even if the TDS reading is a little high at the beginning, the quality water is still unbeatable by any other filtration methods including carbon, KDF, ceramic, UF, UV, etc.. The water is totally good to drink and you don’t have to wait for about 1 minute to get the water, since the whole system will not release any harmful substances to the water. The TDS removing rate for PD600 is about 94-95%, if your incoming TDS is high, the outlet TDS will be high too. They really back their product and support the customer 100% ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive filtration but a few issues *by S***R on January 21, 2025* I bought this Frizzlife filter to replace another brand tankless RO filter that malfunctioned after 18 months. Here’s my take when compared to the 3 other brand tankless RO filters I have: Pros: - Unit is solid and well built. Installation was easy. No issues. No leaks. - Water filtration is impressive: The TDS of my unfiltered city water supply is 330ppm with a ph of 7.2. This machine reads 6ppm after filtration but the alkaline filter increases it to 28ppm with a ph of 8.7. - The taste is quite good and I think a little better than the other RO filters I've owned. Taste is smooth and well-rounded with no sharpness. Cons: - It really doesn’t work at its best dispensing a single glass at a time. I need to dispense into a carafe and run about 30 seconds first to purge the water sitting in the alkaline TAM3 final stage. If I just filled a glass with glass without running it first, I would end up with a TDS of over 75 and a ph of 9.2 - There is NO phone or even chat support. To get help with a question I needed to email Frizzlife and wait for their mail reply. I had 2 quick questions, which could have been handed in a 2-minute phone call but it took me 4 days and several back-and-forth emails to get them answered - this was really disappointing. - This one makes slightly more noise. I put some vibration pads under the unit which helped. - When recovering from a power interruption, you need to run the filter for a few minutes straight to get the TDS meter working again.
