Outstanding taste...especially since it has a30-year shelf life!
It's always a good idea to have extra food on hand. I've been trying different brands of dehydrated or freeze dried foods for long term food storage, and I think Mountain House has it pretty much right. The food will sit on the shelf safely for 30 years and I'm surprised at just how good it tastes. It's only down side to be aware of is that there is a fairly high sodium/salt content, so read the label carefully. MH has several different foods to choose from. I tried a lot of them by buying the single/small packs (more expensive) to see what I liked. I found that I liked the vast majority of them so I've started buying a #10 can every month or two. I'm slowly building up a supply of food that will last 30 years if necessary (I don't think it will be necessary). It tastes good enough that I will use a can every once in a while. Try them out, and then just be sure to keep a can opener and a source of boiling water on hand and you could feed a small army without warning if you needed to.

Just like the Pouch
Excellent. Taste just like the pouch. My only issue is personal. The single serving instructions create a really thin sauce. If you like it closer to pouch consistency, use a cup of water in my experience.

Good to keep in your pantry for when you want tasty hot comfort food.
Egg noodles, chunks of beef, mushrooms, and sour cream all the things that make tasty food. Pour a half a bowl full add water and heat for two minutes and you have fast easy stroganoff. I microwave mine and other than having to wait until it cools down enough is idiot proof food. I did burn my lips one time not waiting so remember cream sauce holds heat.

Very good but expensive.
Great flavor. But takes longer to rehydrate than product states. I recommend for long term storage, but not sure it's worth the price.

Delicious! One of our favorite Mountain House products.
We used to go camping a lot, so Mountain House products have been with us for many years. I started buying the larger #10 cans so we could portion out our meals. This stroganoff has been a family favorite since the beginning– good flavor, meaty chunks, and lots of sauce. Sometimes we even have a bowl or two at home. It's my husband's favorite "cheater" lunch. ;)
