I hooked it up to her computer, confirmed that the computer saw it and it worked. Six weeks later, on a return visit, it no longer worked. The little red light does not go on. The computer sees that "something" is there, but it is unable to recognize it. I tried a dozen different ways to make the computer recognize it, including different USB ports and a different computer, telling it what was there, loading drivers for a generic keypad, and a few more complicated suggestions from the internet, but it simply did not work. My mother said it quit working "a while ago" and she assumed that she must have done something wrong, and waited for me to come back and fix it. So, two months after purchase, it's too late to return it. I wish I had listened to those other comments about it dying quickly. Apparently there is serious quality control problems with this device. My computer easily recognized and the install was a snap. My only issue with it is that it does not have the adjustable legs to angel it, so it only lays flat. I also have the accompanying Chester Creek full Keyboard which does have the angled legs, which I like to use.
