As in any type of patch or coating repair, the surface must be prepared according to directions. This first step is the most important. This is for concrete as it states and the are being repaired must be cleaned of any coatings whatsoever. Period! When in doubt, clean it out. Also, when all else fails, read the instructions again and follow them. Enought about clean. This stuff heats up in your hand as you knead it and you better get it on the crack, hole, etc. as it will be hard even UNDER water in a few minutes.Yes, I have closed gaping cracks flowing gallons of water a minute by doing a little at a time.
