I put a 283 with hei in a 2001 Chevy Silverado. The truck had a v6 in it . I set the dakota box on 8 cylinders in and 3 cylinders out and it put the tack on the money . Chevy sends half cylinder signal to the tach . May have to play with it to find your setting . **Q: Will this work off of the stock flywheel sensor or do I need to buy the one sold separately ?** A: This Universal Speedometer and Tachometer should be able to read from the stock flywheel sensor, if you have more questions, please let us know.
