Midori MD Notebook Paper Cover - Cardoba -A5

This is an affordable, reusable, and surprisingly sturdy feeling cover that fits snugly on my Midori MD A5 notebook. When placed in the cover, the notebook feels like a tough clothbound type of cover. I was skeptical at first about the stitched cardboard, but I now see that this is an asthetically pleasing and tough, if minimalist solution to protecting your minimalist Midori MD notebooks. Hopefully I will remember to update my review after several weeks and months of use. If the butter-like surface of Midori's MD paper is what you need, buying the notebooks with a single cover that can hopefully last several notebook cycles is an economic solution for writing on premium, fountain pen-friendly paper. It doesn't necessarily look like a notebook that Indiana Jones would carry, but the fact that the notebook/cover combo doesn't draw attention to itself is potentially a plus for many people. You can now count me as a genuine Midori fanboy!

Super sturdy, high quality cover. I wasn't sure how it'll be since it's paper but its so nice and soft. It's sturdy and fits perfectly with the A5 Midori notebook for my journaling. Such a pretty color too. Super easy to slide on.

I loved it!! The Japanese cover beautiful! I bought it in the soft pink. I filled it with lined paper. Perfect!! Size great. Perfect for journaling!!

This cover is a beautiful light pinky-peach and fits the Midori MD A5 perfectly. It is paper, but is indeed quite sturdy and almost evokes natural leather with its embossed front logo and top/bottom stitching (there is a natural leather one, but besides being spendy I like that the color of the paper cover will remain mostly intact). The cover may fade a tiny bit over time as well as absorb stains and smudges, but I’ve been pretty careless/rough and personally don’t notice a huge difference. Picture is of one that’s been used for ~4 months vs a new one.

It fits the notebooks nicely. I painted mine with acrylic paint to make it waterproof. It's made it through 3-4 notebooks as of the date of writing this review and it's still going strong. 10/10 would buy again (if I would need to, but I don't because this one IS STILL GOING STRONG BABY)

Thin and light weight. Tan cover good quality. Lays flat. A little hard to get in at first. Probably won’t last for ever but for the price easy to replace. It’ll definitely last a few notebooks.

Beautiful cover, but it doesn't fit properly. The cover won't stay down no matter what I do. Even when I press it with a heavy book, it stays down for some time, but eventually pops back up again!

Minimal, Lightweight, and Beautifully Functional I bought the Midori MD Notebook Paper Cover (Cordoba) in A5 to use with my MD notebook, and it fits perfectly. The paper material feels sturdier than I expected and adds protection without adding bulk. It’s incredibly lightweight, making it ideal for everyday carry. The texture is simple and elegant, very much in line with Midori’s minimalist design philosophy. Over time, the cover develops natural creases, which gives it a unique, lived-in character rather than looking worn out. While it’s not waterproof and needs a bit of care, that’s expected for a paper cover. If you appreciate Japanese stationery, minimal design, and a cover that ages beautifully, this is a great choice. Highly recommended for MD notebook users.

Quem vende capa separado do caderno? A capa era pra um caderno de 174 folhas, comprei um caderno de 368 folhas. Agora a capa não cabe no caderno todo. Lamentável.

The notebook cover fits my Midori MD A5 notebook pretty well, though I was scared of ruining both while fitting the notebook into the cover’s sleeves. The cover is very nice to the touch, with a very subtle texture that is different than the very smooth notebook paper. It is also pleasing to look at with its simplicity and natural tone. It is still paper however, so I’m expecting creases to start forming more and more as carry around, taking it in and out of my bag.

Es cara pero la calidad es superior. El tacto y el olor son indescriptibles...estoy encantada. Seguiré comprando para más cuadernos, y seguiré confiando en la marca Midori.

Creo que debí leer más la descripción, está linda pero no creo que sea muy útil ni proteja bien sinceramente, es de cartón entonces pues deja que desear por el precio, por eso decidí regresarla.
