They work very well for that reason, which is why I recommend these shoes for utility purposes only (driving/sports). I do NOT recommend for casual wearing at all. I only walk in these shoes for short distances and can tell my feet would hurt if I wore them all day. Also, the shoes would fit tight even with no show socks. I don't wear socks when wearing them. So if you are looking for shoes to go with an outfit, don't buy these.
