Review: Like the Mute on a Trumpet - My IG/Model Mayhem model J_Onaj came by and she slid into this neon orange fringe Fashion Nova dress. The overcast winter weather was brisk, but not windy so we went out into it along a highway access road in NE D.C. against a brick and vine covered wall that I thought would look nice against her brown skin. The film I chose was a new film I was trying out: the Lomography 200 speed 35mm film Metropolis. Metropolis has muted tones I thought would calm down the neon orange, and indeed it did. Nearly washed all the color out of it. However, I liked how it looked. One of the best street color films I have used in a long time. Not sure I would risk this at night or not, but on a nice sunny day this would look pretty clean. Like the mute on a trumpet it changes the tone and the volume. And like Miles Davis showed, in the hands of a master it can be masterful. Lomo Metropolis can be like that. Easily giving you a signature look.
