The length of fabric from waist down is 36 inches. Also, you mention ‘pant legs’ — there are no straps or ‘legs’ per se. it’s a split and overlapped design, which doesn’t need straps. Hope this helps! **Q: Would you recommend washing it in a washing machine and would you recommending drying it a dryer? I’m worried the clay will clog the pipes.** A: Clogging has never been a problem, but if you want to be extra careful you can scrape large chunks of clay off into the trash before washing. Just like with any piece of clothing, if you air dry your Claypron it will last longer, but otherwise dryer is totally fine. Really heavy, durable cotton fabric and great leg coverage. It was too long for me (I'm 5'4") but I immediately washed it in hot water and it shrank to fit. A smaller size for women and people than 5'8" would be nice!!! Obviously sized for men. Hello! Many (most?) Potters/Clay artists are women! Likewise, wish the pockets were placed higher.
