Warm and Cozy Blanket
Love the blanket. Especially during cold nights!! I have queen mattress and blanket fits perfect. It is very soft blanket.

Excellent quality
Better than I expected. This blanket is heavy, thick, soft, and warm. Since I am very comfortable with washing wool items, I washed this blanket in my front loading washer on the "Hand Wash" cycle, spun it out well, and dried flat on my bed. It is even softer now and changed very little in size - at least I don't think it did. I didn't measure before washing, but label says it was 90 by 90 inches, it now measures 88 by 84 inches. It is the perfect size for my queen mattress and I'm delighted with the quality and everything about this. Made in Oregon, which is in the USA.... !! Edited to add: I said I am very comfortable washing woolens, I have done it for many years even when the label says dry clean only. It is a risk, but I have never had a bad outcome. I spin my own yarn and also machine wash my knitted items from handspun in my front loader washer on the hand wash setting. If you truly hand wash, whether in the sink with small items or in a washer that has a HAND WASH cycle - note that "DELICATE" is NOT the same and will felt your woolens! - hand washing is much easier, less toxic and makes the fabric softer which might be what is desirable in clothing items. Always dry flat and not in a clothes dryer. Note also that this manufacturer says "Dry Clean Only" and I am not recommending hand washing instead, just giving anecdotal information on my hand washing experience. If you do use your washer, and live with other people who might try to help you out, put a sticky note on the washer that the item should NOT be put into the dryer!

Heavy duty and not scratchy!
Beautiful, heavy duty, not scratchy! I have wanted a Pendleton of my own for a while and finally pulled the trigger. They're the perfect camper blanket when camping in October. They're the perfect get cozy blanket for your bed at home. I always worried about them being scratchy, but they're just a weighty surprisingly soft blanket. I stayed in a cabin a few years back that had them on the beds and knew I needed it in my life.

Well worth the price
Worth all the five star reviews. Light, warm, comfortable, and looks great. Made in the USA and well worth the money. Backcountry, had these on sale so I bought a twin and a queen! Will be buying more as gifts in the future. I don't find the wool itchy or scratchy; it may be a little rough, but is comfortable enough to use wrapped up in on the couch. I like it much better than synthetic fleece throws and blankets I had been using. Update 1-11-18: I bought a Pendleton Eco-wise blanket later and thought I would give a comparison for those trying to decide on a blanket. I wish Pendleton would give more information as far as weights, thickness, and warmth. The camp blanket is thicker, but this may be because it is napped more (more fuzzy). The eco-wise blanket is smoother with less "fuzz". Both blankets feel about the same weight... hmmm. The eco-wise blanket allows light to pass through easily, while the camp blanket blocks light out. As you can see in the pictures, the camp blanket has much more volume, even though its dimensions are slightly smaller than the eco-wise (the packaging shows the difference in thickness, too). The eco-wise blanket was very stiff out of the package, almost like thin cardboard, and Pendleton recommends washing and line drying for a softer feel. I just dragged it around the house and used it, and it seems to have relaxed just fine. Both are warm, but my mind keeps saying "thicker is warmer," so I tend to grab the fluffy camp blanket when it is cold. The eco-wise might be better in warmer weather as it seems "lighter". Oh, the Native American inspired and National Park blankets seem to be in between the two as far a thickness and how they are napped.

Extremely nice U.S. made wool blanket
I originally purchased this blanket in the Lake color because I loved the look and had never owned or seen a Pendleton blanket. I own two Woolwich wool blankets and I was willing to fork over the money for a compare. I can say that they're both very well made (in the U.S.) blankets with the Pendleton being slightly softer. I'm not saying the Woolwich is scratchy but it's not quite as soft as the Pendleton. So here's the issue I ran into with this blanket. The second my wife saw it she was under it every single night. After realizing I was never going to get to try this blanket out I bought a second one in green heather. It's just as beautiful a color as the Lake color and now I get to experience what sleeping beauty has been experiencing for the last couple of months. For a blanket that will surely outlive me, the price is fantastic. Wool has that strange ability to keep you warm in the winter but never hot because of it's ability to breathe. If you want a soft wool blanket look no farther.
