Men's Bloodnight Wings

They are actually quite a bit smaller than I thought they were going to be. But I still love them!Of course this is me so I bought them mainly so I could see how they work, take them apart and put them back together in a more desirable me kind of way, smiles and laughs.But they are great, they are light weight, collapsible so they store easily and they function perfectly.They are more child sized than adult sized, so if you are not a smallish adult, they may look proportionately small for your body.However if your crafty in any extent, you can take this frame work and make what ever wings you want. They are simple and elegant and easy to repair if anything breaks by the look of them. Mine came fully intact and functional and nothing has broken on them to date. However heavy jostling could damage them if your in a crowed. You will also want to pick up some fabric edge glue, from any fabric store, to stop the bottom edge of the fabric from fraying. For the best look the edge can not be sewn and there for with out treatment it will fray. They stuff to fix that is very cheep and you can just ask the counter person for that stuff that makes and unfinished edge not fray and they will know what your talking about. ;)Enjoy your wings!

Mine came packaged up in a white plastic seal-wrap. EDIT COMMENT at bottom.One of the wings was broken upon delivery to my home, because of being delivered in only a white plastic wrap.I took out the broken plastic tube chunks, and then gorilla-glued the tubes back in place. Now it works great... except for, I gotta cut the straps and make them bigger for my 6" 195lbs mansize... With stock straps is like... Trying on my girlfriends sports bra and trying to take it off, terrible experiences. And so these wings are awesome.These wings are awesome. I figured out it is best to crisscross the cords as photo to get an easier pull - to extend the wings.EDIT: So I already fixed the broken wings when it came shipped to me. Then the wings further broke from the Seattle wind as I was testing out the costume early day.I went to a Halloween store to pick up super glue, sewing kit, and tiny safety pins.I pinned the elastic strap back on the wing part. And then i noticed that screws were missing on the wing part. I used some rebar tie-wire (i previously work in construction) to tie in place of the screws.And to get the straps to fit me, I cut the bottom of the straps and used more rebar tie-wire to extend the elastic straps. I am 6' and weigh 195lbs and wear extra-large to xx-large shirts.I know I wore it last year. But I think I will wear it again this year with some mods. 1. I might put some motors on it so that it can extract and retract the wings with a push of a button. 2. And then I really want to add some kind of glow lights like LED or maybe just use glow sticks.

The Bloodnight wings were a last-minute save for a Mothman costume, and honestly? Not bad! They open with a pull cord—very dramatic, very “behold my final form”—and definitely got some attention.That said, these wings scream more “creature of the underworld” than “mysterious cryptid of West Virginia.” They’re batty. They’re dragony. They’re perfect for brooding in a cave or swooping down on villagers—but less so for lurking near bridges and causing conspiracy theories.Still, they looked great, held up well, and made a satisfying whoosh when deployed. Just maybe don’t expect people to scream “MOTHMAN!” when you walk by. More likely: “Why is that demon so stylish?”

I love these wings, surprisingly well made for a costume accessory. They work great, the screen printed inner wing design gives a fade out effect on the red as it blends into the black. The back harness is small and light weight and very easy to conceal under the skimpiest of outfits. They photograph beautifully. A few tips since no item is ever perfect: For small to medium sized women (Size 14 and down) they are the perfect size out of the box and no adjustment of the harness is needed. If you are a guy or larger than a women's 16 and especially if you are planning on wearing them over a hoodie or coat - you will need to change out the elastic straps. If you plan to keep the wings for multiple uses the lower edges of the wings have unfinished edges as seamed edges would not look right that of course means it WILL unravel. An easy fix is to apply fabric glue to the edges (check Amazon, Joanne's, Micheal's, etc). The glue is inexpensive, clear, and stops fabric from fraying, I use it on almost any Halloween costume items I purchase.

Ordered these wings well in advance of Halloween. The first pair came carefully shipped in a box. When we removed the wings we discovered a screw was missing, and so one of the wings wouldn't flap or stay properly attached. The screw wasn't in the box, so there was no way to fix it.Put in for a replacement, and this time I blame it on Amazon, because it came in a plastic envelope, no padding, no protection. Seriously? Anyway, both screws missing, so neither wing would flap or attach correctly. If I could fix this myself, I would because the wings are neat looking, and were perfect for my daughter's costume. But the screws are specific and the whole assembly flimsy.I would be willing to bet if you do get a pair that isn't broken that they wouldn't last, which for the price is total BS.I guess it's back to the drawing board on her costume, and a lot of time wasted thinking these wings would be just the thing.

These were a great addition to my dragon Halloween costume. I actually bought this pair of wings along with another pair from a separate retailer. The wings from the other retailer were bigger and fit me a little better, but I was far more impressed with the details of these wings and the shipping speed. The straps felt a bit tighter on the shoulders with these, but the colors and the print on the wing fabric just looked way more enticing. And the claw at the top where the wings bend were an awesome touch. They did feel a bit frail and cheap, but overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Overall, I like the design of these wings. They were slightly smaller than I thought they'd be looking at the picture, and I"m 5'9". That model must be tiny! But they still looked good.I DID have a problem with quality however, which is why I only gave 3 stars. The left wing leading edge rod was detached from the swivel joint when the product arrived, and no amount of glue would fix it (the plastic was not glue friendly). Luckily I had enough time to use epoxy and let it cure for 24 hours. Also, the cloth for that wing came off where it was glued down to the harness. We fixed it with a glue gun and it worked. But the quality was definitely lacking here...

I do not have a pic to post but oh these were so cool! My son wore them last halloween and got so many compliments on how cool they were and how much of an awesome looking dragon he was. He looked very awesome! There was though, some very light fraying at the edge of the wing. But nothing too bad at all. I would buy them again.

The sewing was inaccurate enough between the two wings, that it creates a crease and fold on one side that's pretty difficult to manage alterations for... we decided not to, and to let it be as decent as it is.5 star rating because they're affordable though!! They work, and likely will for a long time. Everything I've always needed! haha

My experience of this item is that it is of poor quality. I used it twice for a couple of hours each time and the piping in one wing completely broke and the other was fractured and showing stress on the bit still holding it together. (see photos). In my opinion this item is not worth the cost. However, if you want a once use item and have money to burn then this might be what you want. If you want something that actual lasts a short while or is actual worth the cost then this is not for you.I was also informed that as I had worn the item there would not be a refund.

I read the reviews about these being DOA when other people bought them, but I bought anyway because they're really neat. When I opened them a few weeks after delivery (because they weren't delivered in time for Halloween) I discovered one of the wings was broken and the join. Again, based on the reviews, I was taking my chances, as this product seems to have a higher than usual incident of broken on arrival. This was no exception.
