A: Wave patterns bristles are designed to increase contact with tooth surfaces between teeth, lifting out plaque even from tough spots. Flat pattern bristles have more filaments contacting the tooth surfaces.

**Q: Are these Boar bristle?**
A: I have no idea.  I just know that I like them very much.  I also ordered the aloe bristle ones and these again to try.  My husband is in his late 70s with receding gums. He uses an electric brush.  I asked him. if he would try these as I feel these clean my teeth better than the electric brush.  I use these brushes, gentle flossing, and a water pik.

I recently purchased the Extra Soft Toothbrush for Sensitive Gums and Teeth and while I am generally satisfied with the performance of this product, there are a few areas that could be improved upon. The bristles are quite soft, which is great for sensitive gums, but they do not provide as thorough a clean as a regular toothbrush. I have noticed a slight improvement in the sensitivity of my gums, but not as much as I was expecting. In terms of the toothbrush's design, the handle is a bit thin and slippery, making it difficult to hold onto at times.
