Fundamentals of Creature Design: How to Create Successful Concepts Using Functionality, Anatomy, Color, Shape & Scale

I bought this for my creature design module at university. It covers everything you need to know to create a unique creature. From anatomy to the world it lives within. The illustrations are beautiful too. Well worth the money if it is something you are considering doing!

Extremely interesting to read, genuinely beat my high expectations by a long shot, very cool book!

It is just perfect, i havent read it yet but i can tell its extremely well made and that the authors love their work just be flipping through the pages. Its amazing, highly recommend.

This book is packed full of beautiful illustrations and advice, but where it really shines for me is the step-by-step case studies that are presented. Whether you’re a professional, novice or just an interested party, this book has something for everybody. The way it encourages one to think about the anatomy, evolution and habitat of the creatures that are being created.

Good

This has everything. Literally everything for designing your own creatures from scratch. You'll learn how to properly research the anatomy of your animal, create a life cycle, form proper scale and prespective and so much more. They even include several different types of creature they themselves have made along with the design and research process the artists undertook (Scavangers, carnivores, herbivores ect). 3DTotal continue to outdo themselves with brilliant and informative art books.

Literally, this book is insane. Changes your thinking of creature design to god mode. Also you get more value than you payed for which is really nice. 69/10

Das Buch gibt bietet gute Anleitungen zum designen von Kreaturen mit vielen leicht verständlichen Beispielenzeichnungen. Es gibt einige Lektionen die für das Zeichen im Allgemeinen nützlich sind. Ich kann es nur Empfehlen.

En definitiva de los mejores libros de conceptualización que puedes encontrar en el mercado. Si te gusta la investigación, eres muy curioso y el fundamentar cada decisión creativa para tu diseño es lo tuyo, este libro es para ti. Ampliamente recomendado.

Good book it helps artist to think how creature are made what they eat how they survive in wilderness and many more. Overall it will help artist to think like a god🤣
