On my previous iPhone 5 which I had for 2 years, I went through probably 8 cases due to breaks and defects. I stumbled across the the UAG cases on Amazon and thought I'd give it a shot after reading some of the glowing reviews. Long story short, it lasted and lasted and lasted, so I thought I would order the exact same style for my new iPhone 6. I must say it is every bit as good, if not better than the case I had on my 5,These cases are extremely well built, rugged, and fit like a glove. What I really like is the combo of hard plastic and some sort of high density rubber in all the areas that are most likely to be point of impact (the corners and face). I have dropped my UAG cases several time, but the biggest difference is that not only does it protect the phone it also survives over and over again. This is a lot more than I could say for some of my other cases I've had that were similar. Once the cracking started on the other cases it just got worse and worse without any additional cracks.To summarize, I think UAG makes some of the best cases you can get that has a great combination of protection, great looks, high quality materials, great fit, and not too bulky at all like some other highly protective cases. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. The last one probably saved me some money because it would have out lasted 4 cases in the period of time that I owned it.Other key functional points that I like.- Buttons are still very easy to press and manipulate. In some cases they are actually a little easier- Nice design to increase grip.- No problem plugging in headphones or AUX cables with the case on-Comes with a good screen protector too if you like using them for an extra level of protection.-Actually have gotten some compliments on the case....I didn't know that was a thing.Great all around solution to keep you device safe! So in an effort be positive, I will start with all the things I love. First, this case is surprisingly light. It looks a bulky brute of a phone case that weighs as much as Volkswagen but it really doesn't. It's only a few ounces. And it doesn't sacrifice drop protection either because I've dropped my phone down a flight of stairs with this case on, and it was perfectly fine. Not even a scratch on the screen!The Second thing I love about this case (if you haven't figured it out by now) is the drop protection. The box states that it's military drop tested to a standard of 810G-516.6. Now I don't have the slightest idea what those numbers represent so I will not mention that anymore in this review. It's got raised lips around the edge of the display so you can rest the phone face down without worry about scratches. It's also got an extra layer of rubber around the corners which really really helped as my phone rolled down between the 1st floor and lobby of my building. And after a dusting and change of underwear later, the phone still looked new. Kudos.The third thing I like about this case is the look. Now this is a hit or miss. You either like it or you don't, and I noticed that most of the people that tell me they don't like the design are women. I guess it does have a macho look to it. I'm okay with that.As for some of the features I dislike about this case, one of them is with the design. There are two holes above and below the UAG label with does not make any sense whatsoever! Its not big enough to show the Apple logo or the iPhone branding on the back. Instead, it just shows a tiny piece of both. What the heck for?!?! As far as I can tell, those holes act as dust and lint holders which would most definitely scratch the mirror-like Apple logo on the back. If you are as fanatical as I am about keeping the phone looking new, then I recommend a rear screen protector.The only other issue I had was that the case was very tight to put on and take off the phone. It loosened up after a while, however, so just give it some time.Overall, it is a really nice case! There is a video on their website about how an iPhone was dropped from space with this case on and it survived. I don't know how exaggerated or accurate that is, but I can assure you that I've seen my iPhone survive down a flight of steps with this case on. I recommend a rear screen protector if you plan to use this regularly, and check out the look and feel of it before you buy. I am giving it 5 stars because it is still a great case in the end.
