I recently took it on a trip and caught numerous snapper and a few grouper; reel worked like a champ and I think it looks cool or at least like a much more expensive reel. I put on some 50 lb. braid which was probably overkill for what I was targeting, but 300 yards didn't even fill the reel. I don't think reel would hold up to heavy use, but they may unfair for me to say as I will probably never find out, however everyone says get a penn reel for heavy duty use and that's usually what you'll see on head/party boats.
