RSN1AS Mudslide Resonator Guitar

If you need a project to re-work, buy one of these! I bought it knowing it was cheap and it wouldn't be much, but I've worked over a lot of vintage string instruments and figured minor flaws could be tweaked. Just little stuff, right? WRONG! Peg holes drilled wrong, sloppy fitting face and don't even try using these scrap metal strings. One star isn't low enough!! My friend and I agreed that a fair price would be $50, and only that much if you're a pretty crafty fixer of crap. It DOES, however, seem to stay in tune over a 24 hr. period. I'm not returning it because I've got it up to 2 stars and worth MAYBE $150 now after putting in 6 hours sleeving the peg holes and reworking the elevations on various parts. Go ahead, if you're brave. Order one. Then get out your tools and get busy!

I find the fret scale very accurate. It has a very nice mellow sound pleasant to the ear. I find the cosmetics comparable to the high dollar brands.For the price I find it excellent. There is a small buzzing sound on some particular notes, which could be from my inexperience as a Resonator guitar player. Final analysis: I Love It. K.B.

Extremely poor workmanship! The internal support for the cone is misaligned, the spider bridge hole is not centered which causes the spider to seat improperly on the cone, and the physical workmanship (cutting, gluing, assembly, etc.) is shoddy at best (router marks, slips of tools which mar the surface). Because the spider seats poorly, the spider bridge butts up to the resonator arch, making the adjustment of the wooden string bridge nearly impossible so the strings don't align with the neck. In addition, I purchased a 2-year warranty which has a string/boolean glitch in the application that won't allow me to even register the instrument (I've attempted it a half a dozen times)!!

It can't be played the way it is , The strings are too close to neck , the group I play with told me I should send it back , but I have a friend that's going to rework it .it also rattles the cost is going to be about $60.00

Straight out of the box, I was impressed with the case, The only real complaint I have is the strings, but they will be replaces with Dadario string when I get a chance, I am just learning to play, my Niece purchased this for me as gift, I love it, I am surprised at some of the negative reviews I've read here, Maybe I just got lucky, but mine has none of the defects listed above, Granted it's no Beard or Regal, but it's perfect for entry level beginners like myself

This guitar is a sad product to be named a dobro. It was not setup to be played right out of the box. I was lucky enough to have worked on guitar in the past. It has a veneer top paper cover. The strings were not for resonator guitars. The bridge was not made for the guitar. The cone had squeaks in it. The only good thing about it was it came with a good guitar case.
