Hyperion Cantos Book Series (Complete Set)

This book series describes the technology of the future. It definitely deserves credit for explaining where robotics is heading and how the collective electronic brains in these machines will have to work. But the book is mostly about an epic travels of several people who will try to prevent galactic war. The book is long winded but will paint the future for you. The first book “Hyperion” is the long beginning but necessary to begin with. It’s a deep thought book. Sometimes too deep and overly complex. But it’s impressive nonetheless. You can’t just read the beginning book and walk away from this long complex story. I’m on book two. The author doesn’t stop to explain anything. You have to figure things out as it develops. I think I need some Cliff notes at times but it’s an epic story of future generations.

I bought the first book and loved the addicting rich writing and storytelling so much that I ordered the other three books in the series a little before finishing the first. I am now halfway through the last book and I’ve been reading them for about a month. I had planned on reading and doing a lot of other things in my free time, but I just can’t stop reading these.

The edition is nice, I love paperback books. It is not the highest quality of paper and gluing, but that's what paperback is. Otherwise the ink doesn't smudge, the pages are opening enough to be read and it's overall a good edition.

Actual review is on the first book and is 4..5 stars. The first 21 pages tore out like a notepad due to poo based manufacturing quality.

This is a great read, the author is very detailed in their scifi series and so glad I got these covers.

I bought these as a gift for a friend in the hospital, so he wouldn't be bored. It was cheaper to buy these on Amazon and have them shipped to him than it would be for me to put my copies in a box and mail them USPS. Go figure!

The story is amazing, the print quality of the books cheap and splitting at the seams with barely any use. They should make a higher quality printing for these in paperback.

My grandson wanted these for Christmas and says this series is excellent.

These are classics. One of my favourites. I read these book some thirty years ago and was glad to buy them again. The world building of these books is amazing and so is the style and narration.

Fantastic Sci-Fi series, and the cover art for these editions are the best available.
