Review: Top quality product. - Great product.
Review: Does the job ! - I bought these as a solution for mounting my new M-Wave frame lock(for my bike), that I also purchased on desertcart. Most American riders probably aren't familiar with frame locks, as they aren't used here like they are in Europe. Like other reviewers have said, most American made bikes aren't configured to use/mount frame locks. I looked around, and noticed vendors selling some kind of after-market strap system, that would help you attach the strap to your frame, and then attach the frame lock. To me, it looked like a half-baked solution, which could also be easily defeated by using a pair of pliers that could cut. So I found these brackets by ABUS, and decided to try them. I figured that IF they were made by a company that also sells/builds a ton of different types of frame locks, they probably have put some 'thought' into their solution. This product does the job, and after swapping out the screws they included (see more, below), for my own short bolts/nuts, I was able to mount the frame lock without much trouble at all. The included screws are brass colored, and come with a small rubber cap to put over the back threaded portion, once you have secured them to the bracket. BUT ... those screws are VERY difficult, to get started. I would have had to clamp them down to my work bench, and then used a power screwdriver to get them started. I don't know that the screw heads would both hold up to the amount of torque applied, without the head busting off. I've read a few other reviewers (away from desertcart), say the same thing. I could have gone to the trouble to make their way work, but I figured my own solution would be faster, and just as secure. So I pulled out my own bolts/nuts, and used a set on each bracket, INSTEAD of the included screws. Maybe those of us complaining about the screws are not seeing something we should, but after years of doing construction work, I'm familiar with different types of hardware. I KNOW the idea that ABUS was going for, by using this type of screw attachment, but it isn't very friendly to most folks, trying to install a simple bracket. I'd suggest they make the bracket holes just a hair bigger, to allow folks to be able to at least get the screws STARTED, yet still maintain a tight fit. The screw situation, is the only reason I am deducting a star on this review. The product itself, and the job it does, is great. I HIGHLY recommend you trying these brackets, rather than the after-market strap system, that others sell. These brackets will also give your setup, a more professional look, versus the other add-on strap's look. It's a great solution.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Doesn't fit on frame-locks looking similar to ABUS
*by P***G on July 8, 2022*

These adapter attaches to the (rim)-brakes on one side and supposedly screws into the ABUS-lock. My frame-lock has protruding bolts and that doesn't match with this bracket. Return & Refund was hassle-free
