## Questions & Answers

**Q: does it work with macs**
A: I am not using mine with mac book but i do know it work perfectly. My system had issue with almost all wire mouse i bought but this mouse i could boot my system without need to remove it bluetooth. you wont regret it.

**Q: How easily would this pair with the Acer Iconia W3-810?**
A: I am sure it would pair just fine, seeing as the iconia is an RT tablet you should not encounter any issues

**Q: How well does the Logictech mouse improve the Widows 8 desktop interface. I don't use the"Metro" interface because it is very limited.**
A: My computer (laptop) does not have a touch screen. The logictech mouse is fabulous. It locks the touch pad, has an on and off switch (battery saving). It makes wading thru Windows 8 much much much easier. I am actually beginning to like W8.My computer guru (who does work all over the country and who does not particularly like Windows 8) was VERY impressed with it. It is well worth buying. It makes it almost as easy to use as Windows XP or Windows 7. Can't say enough about it There are no negatives as far as I am concerned. This is not r/t to the mouse, but I am getting a new desktop and have it ordered in Windows 7....so, you tell tell I am not as joyful about W8 as it sounds. I would still not like W8 if it were not for the logitech mouse. You can almost use W8 like a tablet with the mouse.

**Q: Does clicking both buttons work? (L&R). I'm planning to buy this for gaming.**
A: I own it, but I don't use. Here is an unbiased review. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2413330,00.asp

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good compromise
*by S***K on April 4, 2014*

I've gone through MANY mice recently, and have to say that this is my favorite. For me, while it is somewhat small, it makes sense as a travel mouse and fits easily into one of my bag's pockets. I'd liken it to Logitech's own MX Anywhere mouse in size, which I've also owned and used. What I like most is the trackpad-esque scrolling surface, hence why I used the word "compromise" in the title. I personally like how a real trackpad scrolls. However, as a software developer I spend all of my time on a computer, so having the precision of a real mouse is preferable. This is both of those things in one. Plus, the scrolling surface has two buttons on it, one near the upper end and one at the lower end, and you can set them to do various functions via the SetPoint software. I set the upper one to double as a left click, and the bottom to minimize everything so I can see the desktop. You can also enable double-tapping the upper and lower parts of the surface to zoom in and out, respectively. Quite feature rich, IMHO. Finally, around the entire mouse sides is a sort of rubbery material with ribs on it, which gives you a nice grip. You can see it in the photos, and you can liken the feel to the sole of a sneaker. In fact, the entire shape of the mouse makes it easy to just pick up and hold in your hand with no fatigue. If I had any complaints, there would be two. First, when I got mine, I found that the left click was stiffer than I was used to. This was more a matter of getting used to the way the mouse felt, which I was able to do after 5 minutes. It's one of those things you don't notice until you actually pay attention to it. The second would be that SetPoint doesn't let you assign a keyboard shortcut to any of the buttons. Other Logitech mice I've used DO allow this functionality, so I found it odd that it wasn't available for the T400. Unfortunate as that is, though, I imagine this is more a software implementation issue rather than a hardware one. Therefore, I didn't knock off a star for the mouse itself for what I consider a fault in SetPoint.Pros:-Works great just as a mouse-Feature rich scrolling surface-Size makes it very portable-Shape makes it comfortable to holdCons:-The SetPoint software used for this particular mouse is limited-Slightly stiffer left click (though this could be my particular mouse)Overall:I love it, would recommend it to anyone wanting a travel mouse, and would gladly buy another one if the need arose.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ tablet scrolling with mouse pointing.. definitely worth it.
*by C***L on December 28, 2015*

Very solid construction, good durable feel. The ribbed sides were something of a distraction at first, but now I don't mind and it even helps a little in precision mousing. There is no splits in the hull for the right and left buttons, a nice design touch, there are still regular detent switches underneath. The quality is great, very well built. Plenty of tweeks, you'll need the logitech software (which is a good idea w/ logitech gear anyway), 2 AA Li rechargeables will power the mouse for over 4 weeks with 6hrs/day heavy mousing. The middle button is a trackpad strip on top of a regular detent switch (push down - go click). The light ribs you see in the product pictures are touchzone sensor wires under the surface. It's two-fingerwidths wide and the sideswipes are assignable to switch windows, tasks, etc... I tried it for a while but middle-finger misfires meant keeping it for sidescrolling only. The top and back tap zones are assignable, too, zoom for me.The touchzone is absolutely awesome for vertical scrolling - hey.. 99% of webmastering is ripping to the bottom of the page to hit 'submit' Now you can rip like tablet and point like a mouse, this feature alone is worth $30 in just general purpose life improvement. Caveats? Well, those Google Maps embeds will launch into space if you hit one while downscrolling, FPS weapons selection is.. entertaining. Innocently hovering your finger over the touchzone will suddenly cause your display to do cool things, like zooming in and out, or slowly drifting around.. I kind of enjoy it, actually, a little anarchy can be fun.I've used it daily for 3 months now, I'm happy with it.. and if you're looking for professional mouse - try this one out.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Mouse
*by A***K on January 30, 2013*

I got this mouse in the main yesterday and tried it out. My first impression: I like it! It's got a nice feel to it. A soft grip surrounds the bottom and the surface isn't too uncomfortable to rest your hand on. It's lower to the table than most of mice I've used. I also own an Apple Magic Mouse, which is quite short as well. This is a bit taller, but it's got more or less, the same ergonomic feel. There's are two "physical" buttons and the middle piece is a touch scroller / gesture pad. The buttons click quietly, which is nice. It almost sounds like you're clicking a trackpad, which is a good thing for me.When you first turn the mouse on, you're opted to install Logitech's SetPoint software (I'm on Windows 8 and it did this for me). I would suggest installing it, because smooth scrolling and certain other features won't work properly without it. Clicking the middle acts as your "Win Key." You can customize some of the other gestures with SetPoint. The top and bottom sections of the pad are "hot" regions as well and can be configured to do different things. The scrolling is a bit tricky. What I mean is this (and this could just be me not used to it yet):Lightly touch the pad, and scroll by gliding your finger over it in the direction you choose. This acts as fast scrolling. You can quickly scroll through anything this way. If you press harder and try to scroll, the motion can be very jerky. My finger kept rubbing against it and causing friction, more than smooth motion, so it really depends on how you use it. I'll update this with more information about the scrolling if it gets worse, but right now, I think it's just me needing to get the right "feel."It comes with two batteries installed already that are stored in the bottom compartment by removing the sliding tray. There, you can also store the receiver, which is a nice feature. Please note, that this mouse is not bluetooth. It comes with it's own receiver that plugs in via USB.So far, I really like it. 4-stars due to the weird scrolling, but I'll change that if it gets better. I use a mousepad and it doesn't catch on any surface. Low profile makes it ergonomic and easy to handle. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a mouse with physical buttons and touch scrolling.
