Le Creuset Salt and Pepper Mill Set, 8" x 2 1/2" each, Black & White

These really put out a lot of volume - my more than other fancy grinders I’ve bought. Easy to adjust the knob and refill. They look good, though I get comments that they look like large chess pieces. They feel a little lightweight or cheap, but it’s probably just a misperception that “heavy equals quality.” I have no concerns about the actual craftsmanship. They look fine and have been durable so far.

Got these yesterday. Filled each one and tried them out. They work perfectly. I've read some reviews suggesting they are cheap feeling. They don't feel cheap to me. Also, I've read here about them leaking salt and pepper. I keep these sitting in a pair of small white ramekins which catch any spilling. They also contrast with the blue perfectly. I have the big mills in Flame color for the cooking area. For the dining table, these in Marseille Blue are perfect. I'm very happy. 5-stars.

Love the color and the grind settings work great, very smooth and adjustable. Quality feels nice overall. My only wish is that these were stoneware like some of Le Creuset's other lines, instead of plastic body with a metal top. Still a great product, just wanted more weight and material quality for the price.

We have been looking for a salt and pepper shakers that match our decor and these fit perfectly. Good quality as can be expected from Le Creuset. It does not come with a base so I bought it separately. The base makes it superb that the set occupies a special spot on my kitchen countertop.

These look super cute and go with my turquoise Fiesta dishes well. Once you pick one up, the illusion is destroyed and you can feel its cheap, plastic exoskeleton. It grinds salt finely, and no one at my house cares that they are cheap as long as they look good. Actually no one at my house cares. Maybe I do. Thus this review.

We had a small set and loved them so we got the larger set for cooking. They grind very smooth and the salt especially comes out very fine.

These grinders are decent enough, in that they have a good feel in the hand and look nice, but don't let the brand name fool you: the pepper grinder broke after a week or so of normal use. What happened was I would feel the grinder stall when twisting the head, as if I was trying to grind up pebbles instead of peppercorns. The thing is, these peppercorns came out of a cheap plastic peppermill I bought at the supermarket, which, funnily, never had any issue whatsoever grinding the same peppercorns. Eventually, the grinder head started to spin freely when I twisted it, but would not grind any pepper. When I took the head off and emptied the peppercorns to see what the deal was, bits of broken plastic came out with the corns; the grinder had splintered from within. Guess I'm going back to cheap supermarket peppermills. The salt grinder's working just fine still :)

I’ve been wishing for these for years and finally treated myself. I got the smaller ones. They are a nice weight, not too heavy. Smooth as you turn to grind. Super cute on my counter.

bonjour, Une fois que vous aurez passé outre le coté un peu "plastique", vous serez enchanté. facile a utiliser, facile a nettoyer, efficace et plutot beau, style classique. l'encombrement est contenu, sans pour autant devoir le recharger trop souvent. Ce qui est plutot cool, c'est les autres moulins que vous pouvez rajouter. avec plein d'autres couleurs. pour faire des assortiments avec des poivres d'ailleurs. Amazing quality with a smooth grinder. When used to cheap grinders these feel luxurious . If they last years they’ll be worth every penny

Lovely and effective

Love my salt and pepper mills! They are consistent in their grind from fine to course depending on preference! Having the containers coloured in black and white ensures there is no mix-up when reaching for the seasoning of choice! Finally they look beautiful on the table!
