Extremely powerful light - I haven’t had any issues with the app. Everything is pretty straightforward and the light connected to the app right away. So far so good! My high light plants have started to turn red and pink! I tried two lesser lights for my tank but my set up demanded something more powerful. I have it only running at 100% for about three hours in the middle of the day. I wish it had a little bit of a lower setting - 5% is the lowest it will go and that is still quite bright for the evening. All in all - great light and my plants have never looked so good. So glad to finally stop killing all my high light demand plants

I know this light is a bit controversial because some people don’t know how to use the app, but it works perfectly for me and the controls are amazing. You just have to read the manual. Superb color and so bright. It brings out amazing tones in my fish and plants. I have had freshwater aquariums for 20+ years and this is already my favorite light bar that I have ever owned. My tank is 35 inches wide and this bar gives perfect light distribution edge to edge.

I purchased this light to replace a fluval plant 3.0 on a 40 breeder. There are some things i like and something i dislike about this light so i will try to list them straight forward: First form factor. This light is designed for a rim-less tank. Unlike many popular lights the sides (width) is not adjustable - it either fits or does not fit. In the case of the 40 breeder it would fit the rim of a 40 breeder with the rim BUT the rim makes the tank just a tad too wide for the light so i set it on top of the rim. It is stable but that slight increase in width makes it too wide to properly fit. Colour - I have mix comments on the coluring - while it looks brilliant lighting the tank i wish they provided more information on K->spectrum translation (how much blue, how much green, how much red) do you get at each K setting. This is one area the fluval shines because you actually set the spectrum intensity rather than the K value so you can control how much of each colour. Here you will have no clue how much green and blue are being sent to the tank. App - the app is fairly easy to use and the range is quite good BUT changing light setting time window is a little annoying since you have to delete all previous settings to increase the length of an earlier window. These days computers are smart and it would be fairly trivial code change to set an earlier window and then cascade the impact on later windows as necessary (i.e, if the first window is 7 to 8 and the second is 8 to 12; if you change the first to 7 to 9 then the second can go to 9 to 12; if the you change the first to 7 to 13; then the second can go to 13 to 13.15 and if the third was 12 to 13 this could go to 13.30 to 13.45 (you can then adjust the times in the later windows without having to recreate them). Knowing a bit about code this would be only a few lines of code and be more convenient than the current method of deleting all later time windows. Other than this annoyance it works well. - brightness - i don't have a way to formally measure how bright this light is but it had an immediate positive impact on some difficult to grow plants so it is clearly superior to the fluval in that regard (or perhaps it has better spectrum). - Value - this is a tough one to evaluate. The light is quite expensive but it doesn't seem to be any more expensive than the peers at this brightness so that has to be consider (peers include sbf black box, ada, kessil 360we, ... then you have to consider the warranty which is quite weak - if the product is well made why not back it with a reasonable warranty. Fluval is 3 years, kessel is two years, even sbf black box is 2 years - so we see here the warranty is not encouraging. - support - support has been A+ - not only have questions been answered. If the person doesn't know the answer they go to an eng that has the answer and they provided detail and quality answers. - Future - there is a good chance i will use this light on future tanks that are larger. Naturally the form factor is a real issue so i would have to go with the hanging version - though given that this is a bit in the future i will gain more experience with the current light before making final decisions. - In the event i have future experience good or bad i will update. - Btw the tank in question is low tech - i considered this for a high tech tank but that tank is 4 feet and there is no way to hang a light in that room so this light is not a reasonable option for that tank. Still it has shown that quality light benefits even a low tech tank.

This light is very nice to look at and is bright enough for sure. I've edited this review because I've finally gotten the app to work reasonably well, but it is pretty quirky. This light is well built and other than the app, and fact that it could go a little higher than 6500k keeps it from being about perfect. The Y&W version ranges from 3000k to 6500k while the w&b version ranges from 6500k and 20000k and is better suited for salt water aquariums. But it would be nice if the Y&W version went to 8000k which I believe would have higher LED output in the blue range. However the 6500k does do the job well. If the app keeps crashing while trying to connect to the daylight circle mode, try restarting the app and then making a change in manual mode before attempting to connect in daylight mode.

Good looking light, but software is pretty bad.

This one works so much better than my previous ONF FlatOne. My first gen FlatOne one kept turning on by itself at night and ruined my tank. I got awful customer service from ONF. They have improved their lights. Let’s hope the customer service improves.

Bluetooth not working. Unable to access or see devices in either the App or my IPhone device lists Potentially a return unit as there are scratches on the light when it arrived. Power brick also has signs of usage. This is shame I I bought this as a replacement for another Flat One+ plus that after 8 months of use, as the white channel light stop working. Only the blue lights are on
