can you us this on flat glass boor display cabinet? or just on corner of box style?

This one is designed for a corner. They may have another model that could be used for a flat lock

How do I order locks keyed alike? It mentions the possibility but I cannot find the listing forore than 1 alike

That question I do not know, sorry. Maybe locksmith can help you

Does there need to be a gap between the glass for this to work?

Obviously there must be a gap between the glass wall and the glass door, else would scrape together. This lock works smoothly and the key will not bend/warp like some other inferior product keys I've encountered.

How many locks in each order? It says keyed the same.

There are two identical keys with each lock. I purchased two locks and all the keys are the same. Easy to install and looks good.
