## Questions & Answers

**Q: can this be used on calluses on dogs hock area?**
A: I would say absolutely. I used it on external issues and even sprayed it in my dogs ears. He would get ear infections and it works great. Two to three days and infection gone.

**Q: If this is really 2% miconazole nitrate, why don’t i need a prescription.  miconazole nitrate 1 % requires a rx. is it not really 2%?**
A: As far as I know, an prescription is not required. I used for off label fungus in my Silkie chickens with my vets approval.

**Q: Doesn’t make sense that this is supposedly 2% and doesn’t need a prescription when all 1% Miconazole Nitrate sprays require a prescription.**
A: The 2% version was made legal as the maximum over the counter strength for humans, for athlete's feet, etc. The manufacturers must have figured out they could sell it for pets as well, even though the 1% version for pets requires a prescription.

**Q: This is miconazole nitrate 2%. miconazole nitrate 1% requires a prescription. why don’t i need a prescription if it is 2% when 1% spray requires one?**
A: Not sure, might be based on laws in your state or preference of the vets. Truly Rx based formulas won't be available over the counter
