Dayton Audio DS90-8 3" Designer Series Full-Range Driver 8 Ohm

Got these as a replacement mid-driver for a old set of Sony 3-way speakers. I measured everything beforehand and it was a tight fit, but no problems there. I used a (5oz I believe) Yogurt cup (fits perfectly) with some foam in it glued / taped to seal the back of the speakers, without enclosing it, it will sound distorted from the pressure coming from the lower woofer, so if anyone is getting that, it is user error, not a defect of the product since they are open speakers. Once sealed, they sound great and really upgraded the Sony system. Work well with a high tweeter, because while these say Full-Range, they do have drop off in the higher frequency range so having a dedicated tweeter helps to balance everything out. For my system I used a 33uf cap on the positive line to cut some low end, but still leave some warmth for vocals etc. Very happy with the product and the quality for the price.

these are cool, high-quality 3 inch drivers that i enjoy playing around with! they're obviously only so big and you will need an enclosure of a correct size, which doesnt seem that common, but i made some cool little satellite speakers with these and think they sound and look great. i compared them to a pair of ORB audio MOD-1 (also three inch full range drivers) and thought these sounded better period.

Purchased for a diy speaker and thing works great only downside is it’s not water proof so gotta be careful but works great

The speaker appears well constructed and rugged. The sound is amazing considering the price. I'm very pleased.

My father built speakers for Rockford Fosagate for decades. He was very loyal to them. But these I just knew he would approve of. Nice suspension, oversized magnet for a driver it's size, and they sound as good as they look. Excellent

Speaker has a great sound, but the cost is a little expensive with the shipping added.

a questo prezzo penso che ci sia poco di meglio. io l'ho utilizzato come subwoofer di un piccolo stereo autocostruito (senza grandi pretese). mi hanno stupito le prestazioni sonore. Attenzione a non forzare eccessivamente col serraggio delle viti in quanto la cornice metallica tende a deformarsi.

９ｃｍと中途半端なサイズですが、事実上８ｃｍのフルレンジです。同社のＲＳ１００－８がアマゾンになかなか入荷しないので、とりあえずＤＳ９０－８を購入しました。あまり期待はしませんでしたが、思ったよりうまく作成でき音も満足してます。外観は写真の様になります。ＦＯＳＴＥＸのスピーカーボックスＰ１０００－Ｅを持っていたのでそれにＭＤＦ材（１００×１００×１０㎜ 120円）にホイルソーで７４㎜の穴をあけマウントしました。スピーカーボックスとＭＤＦ材の間には防振ゴム（１００×１００×１㎜ ７０円）を挟んで取付てあります。スピーカーボックスの内側には吸音材を追加し防振のため鉛テープを貼ってあります（別に無理にしなくても良いと思います）。ＭＤＦ材の加工等面倒な方は同じＦＯＳＴＥＸのスピーカーボックスＰ８００－Ｅでも良いと思います（ボックスの開口部７３㎜・スピーカーの内径７０㎜なのでそのまま取付出来そうです・・・ご自身で確認ください） 音の方ですが、１０Ｗのアンプ（ＳＯＵＬ ＮＯＴＥ ＳＡ－１０）で大変パワフルに鳴ります。中音量位で聞いた感想として、ボーカルやピアノ・弦楽器が伸びやかで、低音も大変良くでてます。
