I wanted to save as much of the rock as possible for use in another project. So, I bought this Bosch demo hammer. I have a lot of experience using Bosch tools in my woodworking shop. I had little experience in demo work on masonry. I didn't want a full on jack hammer, because like I said, I was trying to do a surgical removal of the rock. At 12 pounds this tool is not lightweight. But compared to full on jack hammers, it is much more manageable. To date I have put about 30 hours of use on it. It is doing the job and saving me a lot of money vs hiring someone else to do it.
