Marriages Premier White Bread Flour 16 kg

Baking bread has dramatically improved recently, since I started buying the 16kg bags from the mills. P{rior to this year I had always been buying top brand names that are available in the supermarkets and regadless of the brand it's always been hit or miss with the quality as even the top brand names simply don't have any consistency in their products. Added to that, I was also using the smae top brands for the yeast as surely one would expect the yeast produced by the same company providing the flour would work well but even the yeast tended to be hit or miss with no consistency. Ealy this year I decided to change and bought some really good yeast that is far cheaper than the top brands in the supermarkets and I can buy it in 500g p[acks thus saving a lot of money. I found a brand that works reall y well and have so far stuck to it. Additionally, I bought a 16kg sack of flour from a mill and from the first batch of bread to the last found the consistency I required and a vast improvemenbt to my baking. Wne the flour from the other mill was running low I decided to try another brand and after a while I opted for this "Marriages" flour. I am so happy I did so as this too is consistent but the quality of the grain used and the fineness of the milling makes this an even larger improvement. Although I haven't yet used this flour for oven baking it works extremely well with my bread maker. The 1st lkoaf rose right to the lid and I used the same amount of flour as normal. So, I have reduced the amount of flour by around 10% as it works so well with theb yeats that I use. I do also add a good bread improver and that helps. Now that I have consistency and a good partnership between my now regular yeast, my regular improver and this "Marriages" flour I am now sticking to these three as they are all good quality, they all have consistency and they are all good value. The "Marriages" flour has also improved the taste of the bread so I am recommending it but I also recommend that if you aren't happy with your bread baking ( and cakes) then get this "Marriages" flour and change your yeast if you still don't have the result you want.

Each 16kg bag I buy is always the same. I mix it with spelt wholemeal and various seeds. Never had a bad loaf. Just ordered my 44th 16kg bag.

Highly. Recommended this is great values i buy this regularly. Never have an issue great product, fast delivery. Havebeen using this for a while great end product bread tastes fantastic.

good quality bread flour - as expected

Really good quality flour which makes delicious loaves and other baked goods. Forget any of the rubbish sold in small packs by supermarkets it does not give good results like this stuff and you will never buy it again once you have tried using this instead. 100 percent recommend to amateurs just learning how to bake and serious bakers alike

Very pleased with Marriages flour. This make of flour is used by Bread Ahead in their numerous bakeries and cooking school. I had been ordering from another supplier but this is a little cheaper. The packing date on this was a week before my delivery and use by for 9 months after - hadn't thought of checking this until reading other reviews. I bake regularly and have used a few brands/types of bread flour and this works very well for my location producing well risen, tasty bread (sourdough/regular white/bagels/pretzels/croissants). Would recommend.

Good quality, makes good bread. Also convenient in a nice strong paper sack. My last bag was milled/bagged 14/nov 2022. Best before August 2023. Bag states MAY CONTAIN SOYA. Just bought another bag as i am happy with this flour. *when storing flour for a long time, it is adviseable to put it into a sealed container to avoid flour beetles etc..
