I'm using it for creating clusters and stapling small papers and fabric. You don't need a lot of physical hand strength to use. There are no staples preloaded, however. It takes a little dexterity to get them out of the package. The attacher does come, however, with two small rows of staples (abt 90). They are a quarter of an inch wide. When it comes time to buy more, I would probably stick with the Tim Holtz ones designed for this tool rather than take a chance.
