The soft close feature is nice such that the doors don't thump when you close them. My five year old boy hasn't broken any of them yet, and I've seen him hang on a door at least once now and he's about 50 pounds. That should be a testament to their strength. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ don't over tighten door screws *by P***. on February 3, 2015* I've never used soft-close hinges before so this has been an experience. installing them was easy but don't over tighten the screws on the door: it will cause the close mechanism to not work. I had back off the screws until the closing mechanism would self-close, otherwise the hinge goes so far and stops. so you just push the door closed part way and let the hinge take over to close completely.
