Since it seems there is no wired, backlit USB C keyboard yet, and wired is my preference because blue tooth just doesn't do the job effortlessly, I opted for this inexpensive white keyboard. You can see to type in quite low light. I have a darkish room for my computer and this is a great little keyboard. Keys are fast in response, quiet and so far so good. I rate it five stars because Macally makes a good keyboard, and this one is great for what it is. Not an Apple keyboard but the Mac Mini is happy. The Mac Mini has a lot of ports and that is the reason I bought it just before I purchased this board - about 6 months ago now. I also bought the expensive Macally full keyboard with the ports and the USB C but it is in the Space Gray like the Mini and as soon as it is dim in the room you have to peer to type. I love white keyboards. Always loved my Blue Tooth Apple keyboard but after only 7 years it has a few bad keys. I still have the old clacky Apple board with the see-through case and it works just fine even on my new Mini but it takes too much pressure to type on that baby.
