Review: Not bad for the price. - Out of the box these performed much better than I thought that they would. Bear in mind that these are not Bessey, Facom or Milwaukee either as I bought when a full time engineer. These will, as they were, today, only used on thin mild steel, copper or aluminium. For steel the most I would go to is 1.2mm (18swg) avoiding stainless completely. Having said that, they feel pretty sturdy and the action is nice and positive with an action not dissimilar to far more expensive tools. They fit nicely to the hand and the left hand, right hand and straight cut versions give a neat cut which allows the easy following of curved lines too. These are a budget set, but they feel extremely well made with a good positive grip that gives the user the feel of a far more expensive tool. If you don’t overtax them, they’ll work fine for a hobbyist, just treat them with respect and I suspect they’ll give good service.

Out of the box these performed much better than I thought that they would. Bear in mind that these are not Bessey, Facom or Milwaukee either as I bought when a full time engineer. These will, as they were, today, only used on thin mild steel, copper or aluminium. For steel the most I would go to is 1.2mm (18swg) avoiding stainless completely. Having said that, they feel pretty sturdy and the action is nice and positive with an action not dissimilar to far more expensive tools. They fit nicely to the hand and the left hand, right hand and straight cut versions give a neat cut which allows the easy following of curved lines too. They are good for thin metal howver if you use them to cut anything over 2mm they do strugle.
