Great little mic for music too.
I bought this so that I could mic some flutes that I have and send the sound through the GarageBand app on my phone. Because I was recording my flutes I wanted a small mic that I could clip on near the opening on the flute near the mouthpiece to get the loudest and the best sound. With the additional audio out port of the plug, I then am able to plug in an external speaker for a portable music rig. With the app I can add effects to the sound of the flute for live performances and then am also able to plug in my amp or portable speaker. It does work great and I am very pleased with the sensitivity and quality of the mic.One could argue that the cord could be longer to accommodate more movement and distance from the phone, tablet or other recording device when using the mic, but I personally have had no issues with the length.I do also like the case that came with the microphone. It just helps keep things tidy when not in use and for traveling.

Great Microphones (2 Pack is a No Brainer)
Very happy with these lapel microphones from IK Multimedia. I am a middle school teacher and my students create tons of podcasts and videos. These microphones sound great and I love the added feature of being able to plug in an additional IK Multimedia lapel microphone to have multiple participants miked up. This works great with newscasts and partnerships recording podcasts. I've always been happy with every piece of equipment I have purchased from them. I should state that the equipment I use are iPads and iPhones. I have heard that people with android have issues at times. But I've never had any issues.

Not bad for the price...
When I purchased this mic, I just needed a relatively inexpensive replacement lav mic and I didn't really expect too much. The sound quality was better than expected but it would have been nicer if there was some sort of a deadcat that came with it to block out some of the wind noise.Considering that I'm using this as a secondary mic (just in case) for some vlogging, It's actually really handy. The little zip-up hard case that comes with it is pretty nice and handy (See attached photos). It has room in there to stick a few SD cards (or maybe some loose change..or maybe a deadcat. *hint hint*)Aside from all that, I haven't had any compatibility problems with the equipment that I use. The sound quality is more than acceptable for the price and I'm glad I made the purchase.

This mic kicks butt
I have ordered other mics for my computer and cannot get them to consistently record anything of decent quality. I use this paired with Anchor on my phone, and it blows the computer mics I've purchased out of the water for quality. This mic is nice because it clips to you and takes sound across instead of into it, reducing it from picking up mouth popping. No crackles, consistent sound, not sensitive enough to pick up much background noise or echo that I get from a Blue Yeti mic. The recordings from this mic almost pass acx guidelines out of the box. I would highly recommend for portable podcasting - very impressive sound quality.

Marketed Inaccurately (at best) - Read before you buy!
I will start with the quality: The mic is a decent quality, is extremely sensitive, and I've not had any technical problems with it. Overall, it's been good, and I've nothing but positive things to say about the quality.I will now move on to what I consider to be utterly, blatantly false advertising. If you look at the product page at IK Multimedia [...], you will see the following text: "The chainable mobile lavalier with built-in monitoring capabilityfor all mobile devices"This is basically a lie, in my opinion. The claim of "built-in monitoring capability" suggests that plugging the headphones into the splitter block facilitates a signal path from the mic, splitting between the main out to the mobile device and realtime, zero latency monitoring back out through the headphone jack. THIS IS ___NOT___ THE CASE.The signal path for the mic input goes _strictly_ out through the main output. The ___ONLY___ way sound from the mic comes back through to the headphones is if:1) You have the mic plugged into a device.2) The recording application is set to recording mode.3) Most importantly, the application ___MUST___ have pass-through monitoring present ___AND ENABLED___ for ___ANY___ real-time monitoring to take effect. This is not strictly my observation; IK Multimedia admitted this limitation to me when I complained to them that I felt they were engaging in false advertising over the "built-in monitoring" claim. In response to my concerns, I was flat-out redirected by IK towards applications which met this prerequisite. The text remains on their product page, unchanged, near as I can tell.I reiterate: If you want to try to use this for realtime monitoring, believing that the mic will feed back through the headphones plugged into the splitter block, you are mistaken, and will end up being sorely disappointed. It flat-out ___DOES NOT___ work that way. You ___MUST___ use an application with pass-through monitoring present and active, or nothing about the mic will come back through headphones plugged into that block.By any reasonable definition, this caveat makes the term "built-in monitoring" a blatant lie, in my opinion. I will call it extremely shady spin, as a best-case scenario. I think my favourite part was when IK asked me how I felt the marketing was misleading. How is it -not-?! (I asked them that, and they never did answer; nor have they corrected their marketing for the item.)The only reason I did not return mine was because the EZ Voice app on the iPad actually did work in concert with this, and it's been helping me out with vocal practise sessions. However, you cannot use this with just any old app. In fact, you would be lucky to get any use out of it at all as regards realtime monitoring on Android at all, given the higher latency of the Android audio subsystem compared to Apple's. I've tried it on a Galaxy S7, and it's a no-go with huge latency on the best audio applications which actually have pass-through recording (which are few and far between on Android, I must point out). The whole reason I got this device -was- for the "built-in monitoring", and it flat-out does not exist as stated. Since IK refused to change their text, I'm issuing a strong warn-off to anyone considering this product.I'll still give it three stars based on quality, but it does not have a primary, core functionality that the marketing text claims it has.Buyer beware. I know this will be the last time I do business with IK for hardware.

just one week from USA to Far East of Russia. Excellent.
That is what I was looking for. Decent quality. The Mic is made of metal, a clip of plastic. VERY IMPORTANt NOTE:To make it works with your MacBook (In my case it was MacBook Air) you should plug the headphones into the amplifier before plugging into the Mac. If you do it another way around it won't work, and Mac won't recognize this device.

Do not underestimate this mic.
Amazing sound quality for the price and size, super easy to use and they really sound good enough to make a podcast or recording some content. Really useful to have if you don't have a professional mic around.

Very, very bad product.
Just got this thing and hoped to get a decent sound for portable recording on iphone. First - it worked just about 5 minutes and died. I guess the problem with loose wires, bad connectors or something like this. All this product feels very cheap, wire connected mic to they splitter way too thin and not secured properly on ether side. In these 5 minutes it actually worked I was able to record a sample and result was not any good. Distorted audio with echo and strange feedback.
