My experience with a sharpening irons & wheel type blades hasn’t been great. I’m a novice with whet stones (I never knew you had to wet them). Nonetheless, I’ve managed to get the hang of this & my blades remain seriously sharp. It’s beautifully presented & looks good in the corner of the worktop. Don’t forget to let the stones dry properly before storing them away. If you have quality knives, this will keep them perfect.
