This is a very well presented and well made book, covering a range of topics I needed, where other books had either glossed over them or were not to be found. It is written in a very easy to understand language requiring only an undergraduate level of knowledge in physics or the area of physics you are interested in. Many topics which would be considered challenging without prior knowledge are explained.All in all, a very good book on a topic which is difficult to find in textbooks. I would recommend this as a useful accompaniment to understanding solid-state physics from a more fundamental levels.
