## Description

The X10 ActiveHome Pro Computer Interface Module works in conjunction with free downloadable ActiveHome software to provide remote control over your whole home directly through your computer. The X10 CM15A interface module serves as a transceiver, passing X10 signals between the PC and your X10 light control modules. You can control lights, appliances and more right from the desktop!Transmits and receives X10 commandsControl your X10 system through a PCSchedule lighting and appliances to automatically turn on/offReplay usage pattern to make home look occupied when emptyThe X10 CM15A ActiveHome Pro computer interface module connects to a USB port on your PC via the included USB cable, and plugs into a standard power outlet. Timer events, macros and other functions are downloaded to the interface when the ActiveHome software runs. This allows the interface to control your home on a schedule you set.Once the X10 CM15A ActiveHome Pro computer interface module is programmed, you can unplug it from your PC and move it to any outlet in your house without losing settings. In case of a power outage, the interface is powered by backup batteries for up to 500 hours (over 20 days). The clock keeps running and your timed events are automatically preserved.ActiveHome SoftwareThe ActiveHome software, which can be downloaded for free from the X10 website, offers extensive control over the X10 CM15A ActiveHome Pro computer interface modules in your home. Sit at your computer and turn on/off any X10 module. A standard scheduler also allows easy programming of timed events, so you can schedule lights, appliances, and groups of modules to turn on/off automatically.ActiveHome also provides an advanced LifeStyle Feature, enabling the software to actively learn the usage patterns of connected lights and appliances. Once enough data is collected, you can make your home look occupied while you're away by setting ActiveHome to replay your Lifestyle pattern.Additionally, ActiveHome offers a Dawn and Dusk Feature that automatically calculates dawn and dusk times for your location each day. No matter the time of year, lights can be turned on or off automatically at dawn or dusk.ContentsComputer InterfaceUSB CableNOTE: The ActiveHome software no longer requires registration. Review: Must-have for any serious X10 home automation project - If you are committed to X10 for your home, this is a must have. Works great, extremely reliable. One key capability is to remap any X10 signal to a different signal, which is very helpful with multi-switches and remotes, or with having a single X10 switch control multiple items with different codes. You can also easily program complex if-then scenarios, even using variables to manage states. (For example, if I send code O9, set a flag to keep outside lights from being turned off automatically at midnight, but clear the flag at midnight so the lights get turned off automatically the next day. Useful, for example, to override auto settings if you are having a party...) However, X!0 is dying, and zwave and zigbee are so much more reliable, so I would recommend this only to someone who already has a major investment in X10 automation.
Review: Works with multiple CM15As.....so far...... - I have a large complicated home (600 amp service, 11 electrical panels.) I have most of the X10 signals working using multiple transceivers (several each on house codes A, B, C - I also have bridges and amplifiers on each of 3 main services). One switch could not be activated easily, so this 2nd CM15A is being used on house code P to send a macro for A and B codes. I just set up a separate file on AHP and plug the USB into this one, program it and just plug it in AC outlet near the difficult switch on the same phase of that electrical panel. So far not problems using multiple CM15As.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The software is really available ? What is address of the download ? Otherwise the product don't work .**
A: I use IRCommand2 (WDPS Software) with my CM15A. It's been working reliably for years now. This software allows you to make full use of this fairly capable X10 interface.

**Q: Does it communicate to " smart home" with 32 / 64 bit serial..? mine does not. i have an old windows 98 ibm t-30 to talk with my cm15.**
A: It communicates to a USB port on any windows computer...likely any computer as long as you can run the program that it talks to. I can't see why W98 would not work with this thing as long as the hardware supports at least USB 2.0. My elaborate system is working with W10 on a Zotac mini...it works well...the problems are more with the X10 signals getting blocked by things you can't figure out how to fix. BUT I use this for lots of things, especially when I travel...lights and other things turning on and off all over.

**Q: is this download timer etc and unplug from computer and works or does in need computer on all the time**
A: you can download timer events to the CM15 via the AHP software.....then unplug the USB. The Timer will run from the CM15. I think there is a checkbox in one of the AHP menus stating "Run in CM15" or run in computer.

**Q: Will they ship an actual CM15A or a CM19? Are these truly available now?**
A: They ship an actual CM15A. I was skeptical at first and sent them an e-mail to confirm. I have had mine for several months now and it has worked flawlessly, just like the old one. Price is higher than old one but I guess that is the price of the times. It works great with the new softstart modules (which are way better than the old ones).

### ⭐ Two out of two defective
*by H***Y on November 12, 2020*

I purchased this as a backup to my one working CM15A. The first unit worked but macros did not reliably run. The second unit was completely inoperable. I loaded the same program, but neither manual or macros worked. This must be a bad batch. I got my money back and will order a used one on Ebay.
