Its Sound Shaping Technology reduces unwanted mid-range frequencies, delivering a clean, crisp tone. Level 360 technology ensures consistent tuning and extended pitch range, making it a top choice for drummers seeking professional-grade performance and longevity. ## Description A controlled sound but with resonance and sensitivity at all tuning and dynamic ranges, EC Snare head combines two-plies of film (6.5mil external, 10mil internal) with Evan's 'Edge Control' technology to eliminate the mid-range frequencies that muddy up the mix, leaving crisp highs and deep lows. The reverse dot version lends added durability and accentuated attack without choking the overall sound. EC Reverse Dot Snare Series Overview Evans EC snare heads feature two plies of film. The combination of a 7mil top ply and a 10mil bottom provides a controlled sound but with resonance and sensitivity at all tuning and dynamic ranges. Sound Shaping Technology (SST) rings on the underside reduce unwanted frequencies and enhances attack. The Reverse Dot lends extra durability, focus and attack in the center. The revolutionary Evans Level 360 drum head technology is found in the proprietary collar design that extends the level playing surface of the drum head 360 degrees around the drum. This vertically enhanced collar design ensures balanced contact with the critical bearing edge of the drum shell. ## Features - 2-Ply Coated Drumhead: A frost coated 7mil top ply and 10mil bottom ply provide a controlled response at all tuning and dynamic ranges, while the 3mil Reverse Dot delivers extra durability, focus, and attack in the center - Clean and Crisp: These heads deliver a moderate attack and a clean, crisp tone with Sound Shaping Technology to pre-EQ and remove muddy, mid-range overtones; Level 360 Technology provides ease of tuning, extended pitch range, and optimum quality of sound - Heads for the Complete Kit: Be prepared for your next big performance or practice session with Evans, offering a wide range of heads for snare batter, snare side, tom batter, tom reso, bass batter and bass reso - Superior Design: Shop our whole collection of products including drumheads, drum pads, drum and cymbal mutes, drum keys, stands, dampers and more - Evans: Our drumheads and percussion accessories are designed to help drummers play at the highest level and made to fit the needs of every style of drummer ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000KHPJD6 | | Best Sellers Rank | #5,406 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #2 in Drum Set Snare Drumheads | | Body Material | Wood | | Brand | Evans | | Brand Name | Evans | | Color | White | | Connector Type | clamp | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 1,729 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00019954952471 | | Included Components | Snare | | Item Dimensions | 14.96 x 14.76 x 0.79 inches | | Item Highlight | Evans EC Reverse Dot snare heads deliver focused attack, controlled tone, added durability and responsive coated feel. | | Item Type Name | Snare Drum | | Item Weight | 10.24 ounces | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 14.96 x 14.76 x 0.79 inches | | Manufacturer | D'Addario &Co. Sound very good to me. **Q: I have a pearl African mahoghany (13 inch) that I usally tune high for a good pop sound. Will this head accentuate or repress the pop?** A: Yes!! Absolutely 100%!! I use this on all of my snares and its the only one you can tighten up all the way to get that pop! The best is on my wood snares (it does the same for metal made snares also) and it is hands down the most durable, best made best sounding snare head on the market! I hope this helps? :) **Q: That drumhead is coated???** A: Yes the drum head is coated **Q: How's the response for this head - am thinking brushes, specifically. And when uptuned do you get a good "crack" from it?** A: recommendations for snare batters that are brush friendly are pretty narrow The preference is usually for coated/textured heads As far as crack goes evans categorizes this particular head as dark therefore less cracky in my opinion However, bottom line for crack probably has more to do with the drum characteristics than the head ## Frequently Bought Together - Evans EC Reverse Dot Snare Drum Head - 14 Snare Drum Head - Featuring Reverse Dot for Durability, Focus, Attack - Coated with 2 Plies - 14 Inch - Evans EMAD2 Clear Bass Drum Head, 22” – Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping System Allows Player to Adjust Attack and Focus – 2 Foam Damping Rings for Sound Options - Versatile for All Music Genres - Evans Snare Drum Head (S14H30) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/2115435-evans-ec-reverse-dot-coated-snare-drumhead-14-inch](https://www.desertcart.in/products/2115435-evans-ec-reverse-dot-coated-snare-drumhead-14-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
