I was extremely surprised at how bright these were! My boyfriend exclaimed several times about not being able to believe these little fairy lights could light our whole porch as well as they did! I wouldn't suggest reading by it but its bright enough to clearly see everything. The adapter it came with broke unexpectedly when I was unplugging it in the morning and I contacted them and they've sent out another in a flash.
