## Questions & Answers

**Q: is the base magnetic?**
A: I see EufyHome's answer doesn't do its own product justice... The base is not magnetic, but it is metal. I am using a Neodymium Disc Magnet, which sticks to the bottom of the Eufy cam on one side, and sticks to a metal disc base from an old Wyze Cam on the other side. The Eufy cam hangs from the ceiling without issue.

**Q: This cam needs eufy app to set up homekit, but can it then be untethered from eufy access? i want homekit cam that only works in icloud.**
A: If you delete the camera from the app, the camera will stop working in HomeKit.  That said, you *can* opt to not open the Eufy app, or delete the Eufy app without deleting the camera.   HomeKit 

Caveat emptor - the camera attempts to contact the Eufy mother ship in China several times a day.  If you block the camera from accessing the Chinese servers, the camera will throw a temper tantrum and reboot several times a day until you let it phone home.

**Q: Will the motion detection work through glass or is this also a passive IR system?**
A: The camera will detect motion through glass during the day.  But, as the seller said, at night the IR lights will reflect off the glass and all you will get is the reflection.  You can turn off "Auto Night Vision" in settings, but unless you have an good outdoor light source, the video will not be usable.  But...during the day it would be great.  It does work great indoors both day & night.

**Q: Any idea on when homebase support will be added? i don't plan on buying this until i can fully integrate it with the rest of my eufy cameras/homebase.**
A: To address your concern,  the IndoorCam supports connected to the Router directly for recording.

The good news is the Homebase connection will be support in the future(Approximately within 3-4 months).

I picked up the Eufy Security Indoor Cam C120 mainly to keep an eye on our puppy when we’re out of the house, and it’s honestly been better than expected. Writing this review after 9 months of use. Setup was quick, and the app is one of the biggest highlights. It’s clean, responsive, and gives you a ton of control without feeling overwhelming. I already had other Eufy cameras, and this one integrated seamlessly—everything shows up in one place and works the same way, which I really appreciate. What I like most is how customizable it is. You can really fine-tune notifications and detection settings. We have it set to alert and record only when it detects our pet (not people), which cuts down on a ton of unnecessary notifications. The motion and noise sensing have both been reliable so far, and I haven’t had issues with false alerts. Video quality is solid for an indoor cam, and pairing it with the Eufy HomeBase for recording is a big plus—no subscription fees, which is becoming rare these days. Honestly, I don’t really have any complaints. For the price, the features you get and the flexibility in setup make it an easy recommendation, especially if you’re already in the Eufy ecosystem.
